The relationship between two people and the context in which the touch occurs are both
               important when people interpret touch.

               3.5.1.4. Handshake

A handshake is a nonverbal indication that may be examined and understood by using

haptics. We receive input from the individual we shake hands with while shaking hands. This
input is influenced by the person‘s state of mind and attitude, as well as the culture to which the
person belongs. Holding hands, kissing, back patting, high fives, and other kinds of contact can

all be included in nonverbal communication.
A handshake is a very simple gesture but a powerful element of body language

Nonverbal communication is often used in conjunction with verbal communication to repeat,

emphasize, support, or contradict a verbal message, or to serve in the place of a verbal
               message.
