SUMMARY

Haptics refers to the science of touch. Touch is related to the use of interpersonal space
because it requires close physical contact. Some writers consider interpersonal touch to be one

of the earliest and most fundamental forms of communication in human history. Although touch
can unquestionably improve physical and psychological well-being, not all touches are the
same.

The use of space in interpersonal interactions is called proxemics. The study refers to
the study of various perceptions of space and environment. According to proxemics, ‗the
physical distance‘ maintained between two people can be linked to the relationship they share

with each other.
